In the back area of the store, there are a lot of different departments. “A lot of volunteers come every day to have a meaningful place to get out of the house, share a coffee, and have a conversation with friends.” “We provide social interaction for those who live alone and promote self-value and self-worth through that,” Parry said. Volunteers are often retired people according to Parry, but there are also teenagers, special needs individuals and young mothers who help in a variety of departments. The business provides many volunteer opportunities for those with the time and ability. “People always find things they don’t want or need anymore, and we give them a place to put those things to be reused or recycled.” “We provide community members with a meaningful way to dispose of unwanted items,” Parry said. Parry said that the business provides free items to those in McPherson County who are in need. A lot of people with considerable money shop at our store.” ![]() “I prefer to think we are a store for thrifty people. “A lot of people think we are a store for poor people to shop at,” Parry said.
